Reminder Dental Safari will be here on September 5th. If you haven't filled out a form, stop by the office and pick one up. This is a great chance for Kindergarteners and 2nd Graders to get their required Exams for school.

Anyone interested in girls basketball there will be open gym for 5th-8th grade students tomorrow at Thompsonville gym from 2-4 pm.

Today Akin Grade School performed a soft lockdown drill for a nonemergency incident. The students and staff did a great job!!

Reminder: Students are allowed to bring water bottles with lids to the classroom. No lids with STRAWS. The only thing that is allowed to be in the water bottles is WATER ONLY. Thank you

Don't forget about Open House August 8th from 5:30-6:30!!!

If you have a child (ren) who is riding the bus this year to school please call Akin Grade School at 618-627-2180 and notify the office. We will need to know in order to get the bus route complete.
